It’s better to eat foods with a low GI, or glycaemic index. These kinds of foods will fill you up better and keep you going until your next meal, unlike junk food which will made your blood sugar peak and crash and make you hungry all the time.

So try to eat foods that are less refined. This means nutty bread instead of white bread, brown rice instead of white rice, whole fruits instead of juice etc.

Try to stay away from the booze while you are losing weight. If you really must then avoid beer, stick to something like a couple of glasses of wine instead.

More Fruit And Vegetables

If you’re overweight then I have no doubt in my mind that you are not eating enough fruit and vegetables. These are low calorie, filling and yet also high in nutrition.

The best fruit are those with a stone in them as they are of lower GI. Vegetables are tastiest and have the most nutrition when you steam them so I advise you buy a steamer and get yourself some carrots and broccoli.
